I found 3 profiles of a friend of mines on three different online dating servces.some adult only…he says he never registered but even his user name and password are one he has used on other websites in the past, he chalks this up to phishing. is this possible?
thank you for the answer. what if i’ve also found temp internet files and "cookies" on the hard drive of my computer linked to these websites? Can that just be spam or pop ups. there are hundreds.

If you are in a relationship and hide your online dating profile so that it is not searchable by others, do you think it is OK to still browse other profiles?
Also, do you think it’s OK to log in at all? Although, I don’t understand the reason to log in if you aren’t getting messages or browsing.

I’m single and stay busy at work, I go out like every other week but I rarely see a girl that I’m interested in and if I do she’s spoken for so I was wondering does this online dating stuff really work. I’m skeptical because profiles and stuff can all be manipulated and I really don’t know what I’d be getting into but i guess thats a risk to take with online dating. So I was wondering if you guys had any success stories or should I just keep trying the "bar and club" scene?

as soon as you sign up for free accounts on several online dating sites, you start getting many message from women , that requires you to pay to read. Once you pay, the messages stop coming, and no replies are recieved to those you reply to. When you are up for renewal, the messages from women start up again. Does anyone have inside info about these sites work, and isnt it illegal, or fraudulant to use fake profiles to lure people into joining the site
