If you are in a relationship and hide your online dating profile so that it is not searchable by others, do you think it is OK to still browse other profiles?
Also, do you think it’s OK to log in at all? Although, I don’t understand the reason to log in if you aren’t getting messages or browsing.

I actually enjoy being in a relationship, but it seems like every girl I meet that is my age is into casual relationships and "experimenting" and stuff like that. We met through an online dating service. We have exchanged about 15 emails (very long ones) so far. We went out for dinner last weekend. He is not hot by any means, but very intelligent and considerate. I really like him and want this to turn into a relationship. However, I am not sure how to approach this. He seems to be interested but has not been very assertive. I want to talk to him more, but I don’t want to be seen as desperate or anything. What should I do? Help!!!

If you get chatting with someone online through a dating site, roughly how long is it before you arrange to meet up. Do you send 3 or 4 messages? Do you wait a week or so?

Why would you want to have an online relationship with someone for a really long time? wouldn’t you prefer to meet the other person face to face sooner rather than later?
